Tatonka Pack Harness Systems

Tatonka has the perfect pack for any use – and any back. Choosing the right carrying system is an important part of selecting your pack. Those embarking on longer hunting trips and/or carrying lots of weight should go for the high-end X1 carrying system. If you are looking for a lighter weight pack ideal for medium loads, the V2 carrying system is a great choice. For day or overnight trips requiring lots of movement, the V Comfort Vario carrying system should be considered. Below you can find out more about how to select the perfect carrying system for your own personal requirements and how to best align this to your back.

The X1 Carrying System

High-end for heavy loads. The X1 carrying system is designed for carrying heavy loads over 25kg. The special x-shaped construction directs part of the load horizontally to the padded hip strap, thus transferring the load from the back to the hips. This means the weight can be transported over much longer distances. The comfortable hip strap with double webbing, the load control straps and the soft, ergonomic shoulder straps can be easily adjusted and allow the carrying system to be adapted for the perfect fit. A rubberised lumbar pad and concave back padding ensure that the pack sits perfectly against the back and provides stability.

The X1 Carrying System Women has been specifically developed for the female anatomy and includes a shorter back length with curved shoulder straps.

The V2 Carrying System

Flexible for medium to heavy loads. The construction of the V2 system with specially positioned rods provides an excellent ratio of efficient load transfer and flexibility at the same time. The carrier can still move around relatively well, even when carrying a large amount of weight. The hip strap with lumbar pad and conically shaped hip wings is comfortably padded and prevents the pack from slipping. The back padding with its concave shape guarantees optimum hold and allows freedom of movement, even when the pack is full. The load control straps, the comfortable shoulder straps and the lid are all adjustable and allow you to find the perfect fit. Suitable for carrying loads up to 40kg.

The V Comfort Vario Carrying System

Lightweight and flexible for medium loads. The V Comfort Vario carrying system is suitable for loads up to 15kg and provides a successful combination of lightness and flexibility whilst spreading the load effectively. The padded back design allows air to circulate, and the padded hip wings have cleverly positioned slots for optimum ventilation. The waist belt, shoulder straps and load control straps can all be easily adjusted to ensure the perfect fit.

Thermo Mold-System

Lightweight, thermoformed back that is ergonomically divided and hugs against the body. The foam saves pack weight, and it is very easy to clean due to the smooth surface.
