Cam Mckie and his daughter Bailey spend every moment possible in the hills around Hawkes Bay. While his first working love is sheep and beef farming, Cam is a pastry chef by trade, which enables him to be available for his daughter as he creates incredible bread, bagels, pizza and pastries from his wood oven, the only Fire Brick Co D130 in New Zealand, from his family home in the seaside village of Haumoana.
Cam’s ethos towards hunting has never been about tracking down the big trophy racks, it is all about feeding his family and friends, often turning down big stags for smaller (and tastier) spikers or hinds. Cam loves the New Zealand outdoors and everything it offers, taking to the hills all year round, often for a week or more, to explore and recharge.

Rolltop Stealth Pack 22
With its super simple design and stealth material it is pretty hard to look past this pack when heading out on quick missions. The simple G-clip set-up means there’s no noisy zip and being a roll-up pack means it’s really spacious. I have packed out two boned-out sika on numerous occasions. This pack is lightweight and definitely punches well above its weight.
